Professionals in health sciences, engineering, administration, social sciences and humanities, or related fields, working in companies, with an interest in complementing their disciplinary and professional knowledge with content specific to occupational health and safety management.

Graduates of the Specialization in Occupational Health and Safety Management will be able to work as:

○ Manager of HSEQ teams, health and safety management systems, and occupational health teams.

○ Consultant in occupational health and safety and integrated management systems.

○ Researcher in the field of occupational health and safety.

○ From this perspective, the scope of action for the Specialist in Occupational Health and Safety Management is primarily limited to organizations, whatever their line of business, occupational risk administrators, human resources departments, health and safety departments, and HSEQ departments.

○ Secondarily, higher education institutions that offer programs related to occupational health and safety emerge as a field of action.

Program Objective

○ Foster knowledge of the relationship between health and work, its consequences, and programs that can promote health and prevent illness in the working population.

○ Provide students with the methodological and conceptual information necessary to understand the references that enable the evaluation, measurement, monitoring, and control of hazards and risk factors affecting the health-work relationship.

○ Facilitate the conceptual references of the administrative managerial component, a necessary support for directing an organization's occupational health and safety management system.

○ Provide concepts related to integrated management systems and their relationship with the occupational health and safety system to implement sustainable, effective, and quality programs in organizations.

○ Provide students with knowledge related to the legal framework regulating health and safety in Colombia.
