Certify your knowledge and graduate in less time
If you already work in your field, you don't need to start from scratch. In Colombia, there is a legal mechanism that allows you to recognize your work experience as part of your academic training, so you can obtain a Technical Labor degree in less time.
At EIDEC, we apply the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), regulated by Decree 946 of 2022 from the Ministry of Labor, which allows you to convert your experience, knowledge, and skills into valid academic credits.
What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
RPL is an official process that allows for the evaluation and certification of knowledge acquired through work experience, non-formal training, courses, professional practice, and self-learning.
If you already know how to do the job, you don't have to study it again. Your experience is evaluated and converted into real academic progress.

How does the process work at EIDEC?
First, we conduct an evaluation of your experience based on work certificates, contracts, experience letters, courses, and work evidence.
Then you present practical activities and competency-based workshops, where you demonstrate that you know how to do the job.
Approved competencies are recognized as part of your technical program, reducing time, subjects, and costs.
What is its validity?
The process is supported by Decree 946 of 2022, which authorizes educational institutions to officially recognize learning acquired through work experience within Education for Work and Human Development.
Your degree is legal, valid in Colombia, serves for employment, and can also be homologated at a professional level.
Study flexibly
You can study virtually or in-person in Bucaramanga, with flexible schedules and continuous support.
