Professional Profile
Professionals in the International Business program will possess the knowledge to understand and interpret political, economic, financial, social, technological, cultural, and environmental variables, enabling them to promote successful negotiation processes by developing or seeking new markets in national and international contexts. They will also be ethical and integral professionals who contribute to the social development of the country.

Applicant Profile
The International Business student must have an open and reflective mindset regarding the social, political, and economic dynamics of a globalized world, with a proactive attitude to be part of their learning process; a team-work attitude and an interest in developing proposals for development from their environment. They must possess mathematical and literacy skills, reading comprehension, and basic knowledge of ICT.
Occupational Profile
The International Business Negotiator:
○ Evaluates, plans, and executes internationalization processes in organizations.
○ Is capable of identifying and conducting intelligence on new markets.
○ Leads, advises, or supports international negotiation processes.
○ Develops import and export processes for goods and services.
○ Advises foreign investment projects to and from Colombia.
○ Develops consultancies in foreign trade matters.

Program Objective
The specific objectives of the program are:
○ To train students in the competencies and knowledge required to perform efficiently in companies that handle topics related to international trade, marketing, agreements, logistics, distribution, and finance.
○ To strengthen the capacity for analyzing the national and international commercial environment and other relevant variables for professional development, such as economic, political, social, legal aspects, etc., in order to generate the necessary competencies to understand, operate, manage, and plan business with any country in the world.
○ To develop innovative and entrepreneurial capacities in students, allowing them to generate productive business ideas in line with local, national, and international needs.
○ To generate a positive and measurable impact on the environment, implementing business strategies in a global context that foster the development of companies, the region, and the country in general.
○ To promote the ethical practice of its professionals for international negotiation with the required relevance.
○ To generate a favorable environment for the development of research processes that integrate the different members of the academic community and can contribute to the development of current and new international markets.
